Motion Picture Production Figure. He was an Academy Award winning motion picture set decorator and interior designer. He won the Oscar four times, for "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951), "My Fair Lady" (1964), "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" (1966), and "Hello Dolly" (1969). Other films on which he worked include "A Star Is Born" (1954), "Auntie Mame" (1958), and "The Music Man" (1962).
