On July 31, 1949 married his sweetheart Ethel Hush in a ceremony at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Comforter, Harwood and York Roads.

Member of Oakland United Methodist Church and a member of Eldersburg Free Mason Lodge 112.
Retired from National Cash Registers where he worked his entire career.
Coach of Little League baseball during 1960's. Loved sports especially Baltimore Colts & Ravens football, NSCAR racing, Orioles baseball.

Beloved husband of the late Ethel Hush Franklin; devoted father of two sons and one daughter, six grandchildren, one sister, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Brian Franklin.

Funeral Services at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, Rt. 32 near Eldersburg.
