Margaret Marie (Guyer) Hasslen, 102, of Waseca, died, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Lakeshore Inn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Waseca.

Born in Waseca, on December 19, 1921, a daughter of the late William and Gena (Moen) Guyer. Margaret graduated from Waseca High School in 1939, she attended Mankato Teachers College, then graduated from Minneapolis Business College. Her years of employment included E.F. Johnson Co., Waseca Mutual Insurance Co., Bank of America in Pasadena, California, Southern School of Agriculture, and the University of Minesota Technical College, where she met and married Harland Hasslen. They enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending winters in Tucson, Arizona. She was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church, Monday Study Club, plus a lot of coffee parties. Margaret was a gracious person who was blessed with good health for most of her life and always generous to her family, friends, and community.

She is survived by her stepdaughter, Kathy, and Gary Perreault; two step-grandchildren; step great-grandson; niece, Betty and husband, Charles Rafferty; and several great nieces; nephews; and many wonderful friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Gena; her husband, Harland; stepson, Douglas, and his wife, Linda Hasslen; brother and sister-in-law, George and Ethel Guyer; sister, Helen Smith; and niece, Sharon; and husband, Mark Weckwerth.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at Fatih United Methodist Church, in Waseca. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, at the church with Pastor Jon Schultz, officiating. Private family interment will be held in the Woodville Cemetery, in Waseca. Memorials may be made in Margaret's name to Faith United Methodist Church, in Waseca.
