01/16/2001 HANOVER, Ill. -- Frieda Elizabeth Adams, Hanover, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at Elizabeth Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held for Frieda at 11 a.m. Saturday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. The Rev. Sandra Bentz from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hanover, will officiate. Private burial will be later in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover. Frieda was born Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1909, to Dan and Dora (Weidman) Dauphin near Savanna. She graduated in 1947 from Savanna High School. Frieda married Forrest Charles Adams on Aug. 5, 1931, in Freeport. He died April 5, 1997, in Galena. Frieda and Forrest owned and operated Adams Garage in Hanover for 60 years. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. Frieda loved animals. Memorials may be given in Frieda's name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Hanover Ambulance Association. Frieda is survived by daughters, Mary (Carl) Brock, Thomson, and Ann Lisetta Lincicum, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Stephen Brock, Douglas (Connie) Brock, Frieda (Joe) Paul, Edward (Kelly) Altfillisch, Susan (Randy) Nobis, Diane (Jeff) Walker, Harold Lincicum Jr. and Forrest Lincicum; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Perrin, Charlotte, N.C. She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband; a great-grandson, John Brock; brothers, Charles and George Dauphin; and sisters, Blanche Heisler and Margaret Thomasson.
