Obituary:
FORMER CEDAR LAKE MAN DIES AT GARY MILL WEDNESDAY
George W. Baker, 61, of Gary, formerly of the North side of Cedar Lake, died suddenly Wednesday, January 21, in the Gary Mill where he suffered a heart attack. He was a carpenter by trade.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Sheets Chapel, Lowell, with burial following in Orchard Park cemetery, Lowell.
Survivors are his wife, Pearl; three sons, James of Lowell, William R. of Gary, and Joseph Thomas of Cedar Lake; five daughters, Dorothy and Barbara, at home, Mrs. Harry Taylor, Cedar Lake, Mrs. Joe Petro, Hessville, Mrs. George Wulitich of Gary, and Mrs. Joe Lukascik of Whiting; also five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Nels Traphagen of Illinois, and Mrs. John Ramsey of Indianapolis.
