Clara Tant Carroll- 10 Oct. 1919-28 Aug. 2009. Born in Memphis, TN, she was a resident of Jacksonville for 68 years. Her great loves were her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren, her country (a faithful voter and patriot) and 45 years of Bingo with the many friends made along the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Melvin Carroll; sisters, Louis Pass, Mary Hodges, Betty Crutchfield, Leona Graham; brothers, Elwood, Raymond and Lonnie Tant. She is survived by family and friends. Visitation will Monday, August 31 at Hardage-Giddens, 5753 Blanding Blvd. from 6-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5712 Firestone Road. Funeral arrangements are by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home. 777-5727.
