SACRAMENTO, Calif.,- Revere Burnett, 78, of 7474 21 st, died Wednesday of natural causes.
Mr. Burnett was born July 16, 1892, in Logan, a son of John Thomas and Lucy Hurst
Burnett.
In 1901 his family moved to Clinton, Utah, where he resided until moving to Sacramento in
1964.
On Jan. 29, 1913, he was married to Ivy C. Ross in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a high priest and active member of the Clinton and Sacramento 5 LDS wards. He was
a temple worker, genealogy chairman, genealogy research worker, secretary of the high
priest group and home teacher.
He was a retired farmer and employee of the Ogden Arsenal and Hill Air Force Base for 23
yers until 1963. Since 1967 he had been caretaker of the South Sacramento Stake Center
grounds.
Surviving are his widow, three sons and three daughters, Ross H. Burnett, Ontario, Ore.,
Donal E. Burnett, Wayne R. Burnett, Mrs. Rance (Elda) Ouriee, all of Sacramento; Mrs. J.
R. (June) Holbrook, Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Jerry K. (Beth) Lawrence, Bountiful.
Also surviving are 37 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Mable
Parker, Murray; Mrs. John L. (Genevieve) Young, Peterson, Utah; Mrs. Naoma Taylor,
Clinton; Mrs. Thora Walker, Syracuse, Utah; Mrs. Arnole T. ( Erma) Miller, Pocatello,
Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Clinton Ward Chapel with Bishop
Glen Saunders officiating. Friends may call at the ward chapel Monday from 11:30 a.m.
until services. Burial in Clinton Cemetery, directed by the Holbrook Funeral Chapel in
Salt Lake City.
