TAUNTON–Yvonne M. ( Bourque) Gordon, 102 years old, died on Sunday evening, Nov. 6, 2011 in the Taunton Nursing Home. She was born in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Frederick and Philomene ( Landry) Bourque. She was educated in Sackville and was retired from being the Housekeeper at the former St. Joseph's Church after 30 years. A vivid memory of her youth in Halifax, NS, was as a 8 year girl she survived the massive Halifax Explosion. Mrs. Gordon was the widow of Albert Gordon. She is mother of Carol Abrams of Rehoboth and her husband Donald, Ann Thornley and Emelie Mc Dermott both of Taunton and Gerry Gordon of Middleboro and his friend Mary Ada Sundell of Middleboro. She was the mother in law of the late Pete McDermott. She is the grandmother of Lynn Belanger and her husband Don of Somerset, Glenn Abrams and his wife Theresa of Somerset, Darrin Abrams of East Greenwich, RI, Laurie Mc Dermott of Anherst, Colleen Melnic and her husband Devin of Dearfield,, and Davin Gordon of Middleboro and the late Andrea Gordon. ,great grandmother of Amanda, Brandon, Catherine, Claudia Abrams and Kyle Belanger and she is also the great great grandmother of Madisyn Abrams.
