Edward C. Emerson was born on Feb 16, 1834 in Nova Scotia, Canada. His parents moved to NH in 1835. He died March 30th, 1911 in Goffstown, NH. Married Lucy Tuttle in May of 1857. After Lucy died in 1880, he remarried a woman named Harriett Williams Hutchinson in June of 1882, who died in 1931. Son of William Emerson and Elizabeth Parry (Perry?).

Served with Co. C 11th New Hampshire Infantry in the Civil War. Residence Manchester, NH, age 28. Enlisted 8/6/62 as a sergeant. Mustered in 8/26/62. Wounded on 9/30/64 at Poplar Springs Church, VA. Mustered out 6/4/65 at Alexandria, VA.
