Mildred (Sam) Marie Mullikin was born November 17, 1936, to Mabel Jane Elphick and Sherman Joel Raynor. She passed away peacefully in her sleep March 11, 2013 at the age of 76.

She was born in Noxon, Montana on a ranch with seven other siblings. In high school she played sports and was homecoming queen.

After she graduated she left for Spokane where she worked as a Surgical Tech at Deaconess. She was always kind and compassionate to everyone she met.

She met the love of her life, Leslie Mullikin, on a blind date and they were married in Wenatchee, Washington on June 7, 1958. His nickname for her was "Sam". Shortly after, they moved to Hawaii. In 1962 they moved to Walla Walla, Washington, and in 1963 their daughter, Deborah, was born.

In 1965 they moved to Boise, ID and lived in the north end for over 40 years. She was a stay-at-home mom who loved to sew, bake, and garden. She had a beautiful yard with lots of flowers, roses, and trees. She was Home Room Mother for her children's grade school classes and made treats for the classroom parties. She also loved to fish, camp, and hunt. She spent almost every weekend up in the mountains above Idaho City.

Her son, Samuel, was born on March 20, 1975 at St. Luke's hospital in Boise, Idaho.

In 1980, she worked part-time for the Boise School District, first at East Junior High School, then later at North Junior High in the cafeteria. She loved working with the girls of North Junior High cafeteria. She retired in 2001. After retiring they went to Canada and Alaska on a summer vacation.

In 2005 they moved from Boise to Emmett on five acres and once again she was out in the country.

In 2008 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Hawaiian luau party.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Stephen Mullikin; her two brothers, Leslie and Edward; and her sister, Margaret.

She is survived by her husband, Les; daughter, Debbie; son, Sam; brothers, Richard and Raymond; sisters, Lillian, Evelyn and Alice; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
