Norfolk - 57 of the 1100 block of George St. died March 9, 2013 doing what he enjoyed most, working on his son's race car. Richard's passions in life were family, cars, racing and working for Gene Daniels Auction on Monday nights. He was the go-to man due to his exemplary mechanical skills.
He is survived by his wife Donna Ellis; two sons, Shelton Ellis and Richard Ellis; sister Debra Ellis; two brothers, Ronald Ellis (Terri) of Charleston, SC and David Ellis (Susan) of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Nathan, Harlie and Haelie and one on the way; six nephews and two nieces. A memorial service will be held 7PM, Thursday at Kempsville Church of Christ, 5424 Parliment Dr. Graveside service will be held 11AM, Friday, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. www.beachfuneralservices.com
