White, Donnie T., Ret. MSGT, 83, of Phoenix, AZ, died at home on March 8, 2013, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born to Cecil G. and Anna M. White on April 25, 1929 in Ponca, Nebraska. After high school graduation he joined the Air Force where he met his future wife, Marguerite Vasey. They were married on February 5, 1954 in Rantoul, IL. He was honorably discharged in 1974 after 26 years of service. He had served in the Korean War, was stationed in Alconbury AFB, England, served two years in Pakistan in 1968-1970, and was stationed in numerous bases throughout USA. He is survived by his two daughters, Nancy L. Soyka (Paul), Tamara J. White, his three grandchildren, Tiffany J. Mendez (Daniel) and Karl H. Lipkeman and Geraldine Mendez; his great granddaughter, Izabella Rose Mendez; as well as many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Wednesday March 13, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway Road, Phoenix. A mass service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 12:30pm at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3801 East Greenway Rd., and the burial with Honors by Luke AFB will be at the National Cemetery at 2:00 PM, 23029 North Cave Creek.
