Mr. Steffen was a native of South Lyon and had lived in Flint since 1919. Before World War l, he had worked for Maxwell Motor Co. in Detroit; Harroun Motor Co. in Wayne, and Dodge Brothers, Detroit.
He entered the Army in June, 1918, and was overseas eight months with the 310th Trench Mortar Battery.
