Sue A. Nelson, 67, of Seymour, died Sunday, March 9, 2013, at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Fla.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Nelson; children, Amy (Shawn) Blankenship and Michael (Kathy) Nelson; three grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Voss Chapel in Seymour with the Revs. Sandy Cooper and Steve Cherry officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.

Memorial contributions may be made to Huntington's Disease Center Fund or First United Methodist Church Sunday School Department in Seymour.

Sue A. Nelson, 67, Seymour, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Hope Hospice, Fort Myers, Fla.

Sue retired as a teachers assistant in the Seymour Community School district, where she worked for 15 years with the special needs preschool. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for many years, helped in the church nursery, was active in Girl Scouts and was a Cub Scout den mother.

Sue was a member and past president of the Seymour City Extension Homemakers Club. She enjoyed line dancing with the Country Kickers.

Born July 16, 1945, in Seymour, she was the daughter of William "Bill" and Dorothy (Taskey) Wright. On Dec. 17, 1967, at First United Methodist Church in Seymour she married Ron Nelson, who survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Amy (Shawn) Blankenship and Michael (Kathy) Nelson; grandchildren, Mikaela S. Nelson, Rachael E. Nelson and Erin A. Nelson; and sister, Judy Wright.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Tristan Logan Blankenship.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, with the Rev. Sandy Cooper and the
Rev. Steve Cherry officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
