Bob Riley, 81, of Mart, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at a Fort Worth hospital. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 16, at the Mart Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, at Littlepage Funeral Home.

Bobby J. was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Theo and Pelham Riley. After graduating from LaVega High School in 1949, he attended UT Austin. For four years during the early 1950s, he served in a fighter squadron of the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier, USS Lake Champlain, during the Korean War. After his discharge, he attended Baylor University. In 1992, Bobby J. retired from the Department of Defense Logistic Agency after 30 years of service. On May 22, 1954, he was married to Joan Talley in Folkson, Ga. Since 1963, Bobby J. and Joan have lived in Mart.

Bobby J. was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Riley.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Riley, of Mart; son, Tommy Lee Riley, of Mart; brother, Thomas F. Riley Sr. and wife, Sandra; nephew, Thomas F. Riley Jr. and wife, Elizabeth; nieces, Christi Garland and husband, Eugene, Joy Kelm and fiancé, Paul Beltz, and Cathy Benson and husband, Jerry; four great-nieces; three great-great-nieces; three great-great-nephews; and many friends.
