DRYDEN, Va. - Laura Mullins Hobbs, 87, went to be with her Lord on March 9, 2005 at the Lee Regional Medical Center in Pennington Gap, Va.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Lee County most of her life. She was a member of the Dryden United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lloyd and Ethel Thomas Mullins; her husband, Rando L. Hobbs; one infant daughter, Elizabeth Louann Hobbs; two sons, Ralph Cecil Hobbs and Gale Lester Hobbs; one grandson, Tommy L. Hobbs; one granddaughter, Becky S. Orbik; one great-grandson, Darrell Jarvis; one great-granddaughter, Kellye Hobbs; three sisters, Carrie Rogers, Frankie Fleenor and Margaret Julian.

Laura is survived by one daughter, Glenda C. Hobbs, of the home in Dryden, Va.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Billy B. and Lavone Hobbs, Lapel, Ind., Virgil W. and Carol Hobbs, Lapel, Ind., Charles E. and Janie Hobbs, Pennington Gap, Va., Thomas J.L. and Mary Hobbs, Dryden, Va.; one sister, Willie Fleenor, Elwood, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; four daughters-in-law, Janet Hobbs, Lapel, Ind., Lois Hobbs, Jonesville, Va., Bonnie Vibbert, Greenville, S.C., and Candace Qualls, Lapel, Ind.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Pennington Gap, Va., with Rev. Bradley Yeary and Rev. Robert Reeves officiating.

Interment will follow in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, Va.

A reading of Laura's testimony will be given by Laurel Degener. The singing will be provided by Jim Hormell, Patsy Jones and Rev. Robert Reeves.

The pallbearers will be Thomas Hobbs, Greg Hobbs, Arthur Degener, Chris Widekind, Bill Jarvis, and Stephen Dula.

Honorary pallbearers will be H. J. Peters, Bob Orr, and Colin Rivers.
