"Services for Taylor Murphy Stephenson, 24, of Tyler, will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Lanes Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Lou Thomas and Bro. Jason Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
"Taylor passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Tyler.
"He was born June 24, 1985 in Abilene to Krista and Steve Stephenson. Taylor grew up in Tyler graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 2004. He attended Southern Methodist University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Taylor was currently working at Wagner Cadillac as Internet Sales Manager.
"Taylor was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend. We will miss him dearly. He loved the Lord with all his heart. His zeal for Him was contagious.
"Taylor was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Murphy White and Mrs. Joy Stephenson.
"He is survived by his loving family including his parents, Krista and Steve Stephenson of Tyler; brother Trent Stephenson and wife Nicole of Dallas; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stephenson of Abilene; aunts, Abbey Bates and husband Bater of Dallas, Lindi Armstrong and husband Danny of Coleman, Ami Sides and husband Monte of Mission; and numerous cousins and friends.
"Pallbearers will be Austin Buerge, Travis Dunn, Robbie Peltier, Cune Pena, Jim Usrey, Adam Walterschied, and Jeff Waskowiak.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Bates, Josh Hill, Drew Miller and Jesse Moore.
