Danny Louis Beck, 63, of Southlake, Texas, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 4 at his home. Memorial service at 11 AM Thursday, March 14 at Piazza in the Village, 77 Piazza Lane, Colleyville, TX 76034.

Danny was born April 22, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas. Danny had a beautiful voice and sang with the Texas Boys Choir. He was a graduate of Haltom High School and attended Texas Wesleyan University. After serving as Vice President of Finger Furniture he formed Freedom Furniture in 1988. He was a brilliant businessman and went on to form other companies including Apartment Appliance Leasing Service, Freedom Fitness, and University Furnishings. He served on the Board of Directors of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas, Texas Apartment Association, National Apartment Association, as well as other companies and civic organizations. He was both generous with his time and money and supported many charitable organizations. He touched everyone's life and left us all wanting to be a better person. His greatest joy in life was doing something for someone else.

Survivors: his wife, D. Beck of Southlake; son, D. Beck of Fort Worth; mother, Mary Louise H. of Bedford; sisters, Ann A. and her husband Phil of Richland Hills; Deann J. and her husband Eddie of North Richland Hills; Mickey N. of Euless and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Danya Whitbeck.
