He was born in Poland, ME, the son of the late Leroy and Melissa (Strout) Edwards. He had worked at many jobs in the local area including Ed Rolfe for many years, with Archie Miles as a painter, worked in the woods for Bob Ripley, Hancock Lumber and with Bob Byran restoring old houses. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved to play the harmonica and was an avid coffee drinker.
He is survived by two sons, Glenn Edwards of Sebago and Mark Edwards of South Carolina; two daughters, Pat Farwell of Rumford and Deborah Baroudi of South Waterford; three brothers, Elmer Edwards of Harrison, Robert Edwards of Naples and Dan Edwards of Freeport; one sister, Margaret Butterfield of Harrison; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the Second Advent Christian Church, Lower Main Street, Bridgton, on Saturday, April 3 1 p.m., with the Rev. Don Salls officiating.
