But the band achieved more commercial success in Germany than in their native land and early in their career, they followed in the footsteps of fellow Liverpudlians The Beatles and Rory Storm and the Hurricanes and made their way to Hamburg, Germany, becoming one of the top attractions at Hamburg's Star-Club.
They released two albums and several singles, including a cover of Bo Diddley's "Diddley Daddy" which rose as high as #5 on the German charts. The group broke up in 1968, after a tour to Japan. They last performed together in a reunion in 1998.
Pamela moved to Germany in 1974 and worked solo in the clubs of Hamburg for many years. She died from lung cancer on 27 October 2009 at the age of 65, at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.
