John W. Rinehart, 59, of Versailles passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his home. He was born in Cincinnati on October 12, 1953 the son of James and Ella Schellenberger Rinehart. He was married to Linda Perry on October 31, 1980 and she survives. Other survivors include three daughters Amanda (Marcus) Roll of Sidney, Ohio, Shannon (Rob) Goddard, and Becky Rinehart both of Versailles; 6 grandchildren; one brother Donald (Geraldine) Schibi of Norwood, Ohio, along with several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rinehart was employed for 39 years as a machinist with C. W. Zumbiel at Hebron, Kentucky retiring in June of 2012. He had played baas and drums for the band Cannonball Express. John was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9th at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home with Rev. David Shivers officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Hopewell Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
