Born to Eva Jorgenson and Neldon W. Cox. She married William Robert Crosby on Sept 21, 1963 and they were later sealed in the St.George Temple in 1968.

Karen was raised in Glendale and moved to Alton shortly after marrying Bob. They spent their mairried life there, raising a wonderful family. A wonderful wife and mother and an amazing cook. She showed handcrafts of all kinds and was one of the best seamstresses around, sewing numerous prom and wedding dresses. She was a prolific reader who enjoyed reading novels of all kinds and as an avid sports fan she attended all of the sporting events of her grandchildren that she could.

She is survived by her husbaind Bud; children Eva Marie Durfey, Gwen Duffy, Wendy Harris, Billy Crosby, Charlie Crosby and Kenneth Crosby; mother Eva Cox; siblings Ora May Mellor and Sherman Cox, 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
