Anita Boyd, 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March, 9, 2013 in Abilene. Visitation will be 6 till 8 PM, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral will be 2 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Minda Street Church of Christ, 701 Minda Street, Abilene, TX 79602.
Anita was born October 25, 1940 in Snyder, TX to Jesse and Ollie Belle Clements. She grew up and attended school in Snyder before moving to Abilene in 1969. She worked for the Abilene State School where she retired after 30 years of faithful service. She was a member of Minda Street Church of Christ and was very involved in the ministry to the community. Anita was a very caring person and was always spending her time taking care of others. Family meant everything to her and spending time with her family and friends was one of her greatest enjoyments in life.
Anita is survived by her four children, Jesse Morris and wife Rhonda, Connie Allison and husband Mern, Vickie Stewart and husband K.J., Charlotte Vistine and husband Virgil; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ollie Belle Clements.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to Rescue the Animals and Meals on Wheels
