Note 1: Surname for Walter, Mary, Virginia, and Margaret should be FREAR as opposed to Fuse. (The mistake resulted from a transcription error.)

Note 2: Based on the Social Security Death Index, shown below, Margaret was born 6 April 1900. The census enumeration occurred on 19 April 1910. Therefore, her age for this census should have been listed as 10, rather than one. The census also indicates she was born in Illinois. However, subsequent censuses indicate she was born in California.

Note 3: Regarding Margaret's and sister Virginia's adoption, another contributor advises me that California court records also mention the adoption of the two women: [Alameda County (CA) Court Records in reference to the Estate of Henrietta Frear (1865-1958) name her nieces and nephews "...Margaret Frear and Virginia Wild, adoptive daughters of decedent's brother Walter..."]
