William J. Blevins.

William James Blevins, who took his own life Wednesday afternoon by hanging himself, was one of the best known men of Washington township. Ill health is the only motive known for his act. His body was discovered by his wife, hanging from a limb of a tree in the woods not far from his house. Mr. Blevins' tragic death brings sorrow to many friends. He was 45 years of age, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Blevins, the former of whom survives. His wife was before her marriage Miss Jennie McKissick. He was a member of the Harlansburg U. P. church, and was a man of many excellent traits. In addition to his wife and to his father, he leaves the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John McConnell of Washington township; J. C. Blevins of Neshannock Falls; Mrs. Hugh Martin of Scott township; T. C. Blevins of Volant; Mrs. Robert McGeary and R. K . Blevins of Washington township. The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family home, Rev. J. D. Barr of New Wilmington, officiating. Interment will be made at Plaingrove.
