---Marion was the second of ten children of Louis Garms and Alwilda Goff. His nine siblings were: Lillian Del Garms -1894, Harry Garms -1898, Pauline Garms [Carr] - 1900, Wayland Andrew Garms -1902, May Beryl Garms [Harriss] -1903, Ruth Garms [Terry] -1905, Debs C. (Tex) Garms -1907, Warren Garms - 1910,and Kenneth Berger Garms -1914.

---Marion Garms was a veteran of WWI and an active member of the American Legion and VFW. He worked in Bangs as a Barber for 45 years and owned the Garms Barber and Tailor shop. He was also a member of the Bangs Lions Club. He married Gladys Sailers (Saylors?) on January 22, 1922.

--Info from Margaret Steir-Garms: Marion E. Garms, enlisted in the United States Army in 1918. During WWI he was sent to France. He arrived just as the war ended so he never saw combat. He stayed in France two years before returning to Bangs, Texas when he was discharged.
