Dixie Lee Montgomery, 54, of 426 McDowell Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, April 13, 2001, at her home.
Born Feb. 2, 1947, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Aileen Virginia Fulks Rowland of Hagerstown and the late Charles Robert Mehaffey.
She and her husband operated a snowball stand on McDowell Avenue.
She attended Robinwood Church of God.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 36 years, Robert L. Montgomery Sr.; a son, Robert L. Montgomery Jr. of Hagerstown; a sister, Faith Foltz of Hagerstown; her stepfather, Richard D. Rowland of Hagerstown; three stepsisters, Marilyn Condon, Belinda Peterson and Judy Hunt, all of Hagerstown; five stepbrothers, Leonard Rowland, David Swain, Robert Mowdy and Kelly Swain, all of Hagerstown, and Larry Burton of Conway, Ariz.; a granddaughter; and a grandson.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North in Hagerstown. The Rev. Henry E. Marquiss will officiate.
Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Washington County Autism Society, c/o Lois Noland, 721 Georgia Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
