JOSEPHINE BUZZARD
FAIRLAND, Okla. - Josephine Buzzard, long-time resident of Fairland, died early Tuesday after a short illness. She was 80. She was born September 30, 1921 to Beaver and Anna Dougherty at Moody, Okla. She married Dale Buzzard on December 4, 1948 at Jay. He preceded her in death. She was a housekeeper and was of the Assembly of God faith. She was a member of the Cherokee Indian tribe.

She is survived by a sister, Bea Bloom, of Tulsa; a grandson, Robert Stapp, and a great-granddaughter, K-la Stapp, both of Oklahoma City.

A graveside service will be held at Round Spring Indian Cemetery, at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 6, with Rev. Andy Krebs officiating. Service arrangements are provided by Adcock Funeral Home of Fairland.

*Might add to the obituary of her parents name of Beaver Vann. He was Beaver Chuwalooky and changed his last name to Vann. This was confirmed from Cathy Wheeler at City Hall in Tahlequah in July of 1976. Gene Wachtel (46538798)
