She was born Tuesday, March 17, 1936 at Junior, a daughter of the late Burl Wilson and Goldie Shaffer Wilson. On October 31, 1953, at Junior, she was married to John William Tusing, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2004.
Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents were three brothers, Sonny, James Allen, and Joseph Wade Wilson.
She attended the schools of Randolph County, was a homemaker, and was an avid fan of the classic television shows.
