Donald Theodore Black, age 61, of Bigelow, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013. He was born February 26, 1951 in Morrilton, Arkansas, a son of the late Theodore R. Black and Bessie Hatfield Black.
He was a decorated Army Vietnam Veteran, a retired factory worker, welder, and farmer and was of the Assembly of God faith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Mason Black; son, John Paul Black and wife Sara of Conway; daughter, Pamela Davis and husband Toby of Houston; grandsons, Cody Davis, Clayton Davis and Jaxson Black; granddaughter, Olivia Black; brother, Ronald Black and wife Johnnie of Bigelow; sister, Diane Guinn and husband Perry of Morrilton; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, at Harris Chapel with Bro. John Chapman and Bro. Michael McDaniel officiating. Burial will be at Volman Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, at the funeral home.
