Victoria Bartmus of West Hills, CA, passed away Saturday, March 9th, 2013. She was born Victoria Axenty on October 3rd, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA. Victoria was the youngest, and last surviving, of four children born to Bucovinian parents, John and Anna (Ivanciu) Axenty. She was only the second Axenty grandchild to be born in the U.S. after the family emigrated from Canada in 1920.

After the loss of her mother in 1927, Victoria remained with her father and grew up on Grant Avenue in Redondo Beach. She married Galen F. Bartmus on November 8th, 1942 in Hermosa Beach and raised three children together.

She was predeceased by her mother, Anna (1927); brother Steve (1936); father, John (1974); brother-in-law, Dave (1990); husband, Galen (2001); a nephew, George Deauville (2002); her sister, Rose (2004) and eldest sister, Mary (2008).

Funeral service took place on March 22nd, 2013 at the Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills. She was interred next to her husband Galen in the Courts of Rememberence section of Forest Lawn.
