Born in Shelby, NC, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Mae James Willis. Mrs. Garrison retired from Brookline Carpets and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by sons, David Garrison and wife, Shirley, Ronald Garrison and wife, Nancy, Leonard Garrison and Dennis Garrison; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Debbie Garrison; a sister; and four brothers.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan 26, 2013 from 1:30-2:45pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 3pm at the Northwest Chapel. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
