Salt Lake City, Utah-Larry Brewster Madison, age 64, passed away Thursday, March 7th, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by his family and many close friends. He was born July 14th, 1948 in Salt Lake City to Bruce and Betty Madison. He attended Murray High School and LDS Business College. Larry married Janet Hembrough in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, June 14th, 1968.
Larry started at NAC (Media One) as a paper boy and was employed by them for 47 years until his death. As a teenager he was a part of a band called the Bel Airs. Larry was loved by everyone who knew him. Janet and Larry never dated anyone but each other and were the love of each-others life. His greatest hobby, love and interest were his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren were his life and he was proud of them all. He was an active member of the LDS church. He held many positions, in the ward and stake. Including, Bishop of Brookshire Ward, which he loved. He was currently serving as a Salt Lake Temple Ordinance worker. He will be missed by many, everyone was his family.
Survived by his beloved wife Janet H. Madison, children, Shellie Peterson (Joseph), Jeffrey Madison (Jacci), Christopher Madison (Anna), Timothy Madison (Jennie), Adam Madison (Jenny), Carrie Dages (Michael), Jonathan Madison (Andriele), siblings, William Madison, Gary Madison and 21grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents and father-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Brookshire LDS Ward Chapel, 3487 South 1300 East, SLC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
