Ethel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She was active for 65 years in the VFW. She held many offices in the 5th District. She was past president of Auxiliary #302, later transferring to #2100. She was captain of the mortuary team and was active as treasurer of MOCA #1 until 6 months before she died. She retired from the Milgram Food Store #30 in 1974.
Ethel is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Farnsworth and Judy Baker; sister-in-laws, Margaret Hays, Lillian Ray, Lucille Lotz, and Norma Altis; brother-in-law, Chester Hays; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Raymond Battin; brother-in-laws, Webster Hays and Donald Campbell; and sister-in-laws, Irene Campbell, Maurine Swanson, and Betty Battin.
