Eunice Rose (Anderson) Gunderson was born on January 26, 1930, in Holmes City Township the daughter of Robert and Tillie (Rosengren) Anderson. She attended District #27 Country School in rural Farwell and graduated from Kensington High School in 1948.

On September 26, 1959, Eunice was united in marriage to Norman Gunderson at the First Baptist Church in Alexandria. The couple resided in Alexandria where Eunice worked as a Telephone Operator for several years. They were also in the craft business and participated in several craft shows throughout the area.

Mrs. Gunderson was active in her church as a member of the choir and the Church Social Chairman. She was also a member of the Telephone Co. Retirees. Eunice loved to travel, especially to Alaska and enjoyed the annual Anderson Family Reunions.

Eunice died on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her brothers: Wally & wife, Jeanne Anderson of Anoka, MN, Virgil & wife, Thelma Anderson of Maple Grove, MN; sister, Helen Vick of Eden Prairie, MN; sister-in-law: Mildred Skoglund of Alexandria, Esther Peterson of Glenwood, Crystle Gunderson of Bend, OR and many nieces and nephews.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 2002; parents, Robert and Tillie; brother, Rowland; and sister, Mildred.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Church in Alexandria with Reverends Craig Dahl and Allen Travaille officiating. Music was provided by Vicki Hessel, Vicki Dahl, and Ginger Anderson. Interment was in the Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria. Casket bearers were Herb Rose, Jay Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Harvey Bothun, Ralph Skoglund, Lee Peterson, David Krueger, and Jim Hessel. Honorary casket bearers were Clifford Peterson, Vern Taylor, Bruce Sadlemyer, Bill Maylon, Dan Neller, Delair Melzer, Rod Felber, Myron Krueger.
