Social Worker Extraordinaire, passed march 6th, after a too short battle with Cancer. Connie retired from the University of Cincinnati as director of the reach program. This program acted as a resource for employees experiencing personal and/or workplace problems. After her retirement she continued her work as a therapist for Central Community Health Board as a part time social worker for decedent affairs at University Hospital, and took an additional job at Children's Hospital as an intake social worker.

Connie leaves a son, Byron, Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corps, who is stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, a daughter in law, Tina Moody, and grandchildren, Maya, T'sha, Kani, and Zen. Her daughter, Carmen Moody, is a social worker with Focus on Youth in Cincinnati. Connie also leaves her mother, Goldie Gibson Edwards, a retired social worker from Mott Community College, from Flint, Michigan. She has two sisters, Talli Flanigan, Assistant Principal at Sands Montessori School, and Tanya Edwards, director for the Center for Integrative Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, and a brother, Mark Edwards of Chicago. Connie also leaves behind brothers in law, Louis Flanigan, retired supervisor for the Cincinnati Recreation Department, and Tony Stallion, pediatric surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic. She leaves nephews, Miles Flanigan (Tammy, Maia, Montez, Kybron, Zheeani), Bryan Edwards, and Robert Stallion. She also leaves nieces Raven Flanigan Rodgers (Julius and Jazlynn), Dawn Flanigan, and Tara Stallion.


Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m, Sunday, March 10 at Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 1025 East McMillan Street, Walnut Hills, Cincinnati 45206. Visitation 1:00 p.m. until hour of service. Share special messages with the Moody family at www.HerbWalker.com
