She was married to Ezra Linburgh Evans and had four daughters, one adopted daughter, and one son. Lily and Ezra owned the Evans Grill on the Lafayette Square for a time and also operated a Barbecue on Hwy 10 for a time. She then went to work for the Palace Nursing Home in the kitchen until retiring in 1980.
Lily and Ezra shared a wonderful life together until Ezra passed away in 1998. Lily later was married to Mack Wolfe for two years; he also preceded her in death.
Besides her husbands and parents; son, Johnny Allen Evans, daughter, Linda Marie Evans, and sisters, Imogene Beachy, Clara Harbargar, and Ruth Aldridge also preceded her in death.
Lily's hobbies were making jewelry and doing flower arrangements, which she was very good at. She loved to play Bingo in Kentucky and cards with her family and friends, especially poker.
She was a devoted member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. Lily always wanted to talk about the Lord and salvation to her friends.
Lily loved to be with her family and friends. She was always full of fun and enjoyed telling jokes.
On Sunday, March 10, 2013, the Lord called Lily home. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Funeral services for Lily Wolfe were conducted on Tuesday, March 12, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother John Keller officiating. Shawn Trent, Roger Gage Cross, Jason Shepherd, Austin Evans, Derek Savage, and Steve Williams served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Browning Cemetery.
Lily is survived by; Daughters, Lillian (Roger) Morgan of the Cato Community, Delilah Ruth Cross of Lafayette, TN, Angel (Steve) Williams of Gallatin, TN, Amanda Gail Murphy of Red Boiling Springs, TN, 13 Grandchildren and 24 Great-Grandchildren also survive.
