Eugene "Gene" Austin, of Springfield, MO, passed away on March 8, 2013 at the age of 92. He had previously lived in the Lead Hill area.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 11 at Monarch Tabernacle with Rev. Bill Austin conducting the service. Visitation will be at the Tabernacle one hour before service time. Burial will be in Keesee Cemetery with friends serving as pallbearers.
Gene was born September 3, 1920 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma, a son of Allie and Hester Austin.
His parents; a daughter, Marilyn Pepple; four brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Anderson) Austin; a son, Greg Austin and wife, Kim; a brother, Bill Austin; a sister, Juanita Heilman, and three grandchildren
