Frisco (Special) - James Allen McCauley, 84, died at 6:30 pm Sunday in Collin Memorial Hospital in McKinney following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the Central Christian Church of Frisco. The Rev. Vernon Ummel, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. R. E. Parker, retired Methodist minister. Burial will be in Wylie Cemetery under the direction of Staley Funeral Home.
A native of White County, Arkansas, Mr. McCauley came to Texas in 1900 and to Frisco in 1918. He operated a grocery store in Frisco until his retirement on 1940. Mr. McCauley married Miss Osie Powell in Wylie in 1903. She survivies.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joe McIntire of Frisco, and Mrs. Syrell G. Carpenter of Plano; one sister Mrs. B. O. Johnson of Little Rock, Ark.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
