Memorial services for Albert and Eldora Marie Reifschneider, of Scottsbluff, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Don Mathis officiating. A private inurnment will be held prior to the service in Fairview Cemetery. Military Honors for Albert will be given by the United States Navy.
The Albert and Eldora Reifschneider Memorial Fund has been established. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com.
Albert was born June 10, 1928 in Bayard, to A. Henry and Amalia (Stricker) Reifschneider. He received his education in Bayard and entered the U.S. Navy Oct. 23, 1945 and was honorably discharged Feb. 17, 1948.
Eldora was born Feb. 15, 1930 in Scottsbluff, to David and Elizabeth (Gunther) Schmer. Eldora and Albert were married Feb. 6, 1949 in Bayard. They lived in Gering where Albert was self-employed in the oil business and Eldora was a homemaker.
Albert was a member of Admiral Dewey Post #1682 VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and boating. Eldora's hobbies were gardening, cooking and sewing. Their biggest joy was spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their little buddy Joey will miss them and all of the fun they had together.
They are survived by their daughters, Cindi (Frank) Costa of Scottsbluff, and Nori Kuxhausen (James Wlaschin) of Gering; grandchildren, Nicole Barnes (Steven Nickens), and Krystal (Anthony) Maldonado all of Scottsbluff; great-grandchildren, Tate and Brock Barnes and Bianka, Anthony, Jr. and Noah Maldonado; Alberts brother and sisters, Richard (Phyllis) Reifschneider, Bayard, Mollie Siegfried, Scottsbluff, and Eleanor Jones of Huntley, Wyo.
They were preceded in death by their parents; son, William Reifschneider; Albert's brothers, Carl, Henry, and Alex and sisters, Marie Levick, and Dolly Reis; and Eldora's siblings, Carl Schmer, Harry Schmer, Esther Schaub and Caroline Kamerzel.
