Judith A. Hearn, 55, of Derby, president and CEO of Kansas Elks Training Center for the Handicapped, died Dec. 20, 1996, in Wichita.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at College Hill United Methodist Church. The Rev. George Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in El Paso Cemetery in Derby.
Memorials have been established with New Frontier Building Project and the Judith Hearn Memorial Music Fund at Derby High School, Derby, KS 67037.
Smith Mortuary of Derby is in charge of arrangements.
Hearn was born Dec. 2, 1941, in Weir City, a daughter of Dale and Winifred (Jones ) Platts.
She was president and CEO of Kansas Elks Training Center for the Handicapped, and had received numerous awards for her innovative work with the handicapped.
A member of College Hill United Methodist Church, she was also a member of Wichita Downtown Rotary and the National Rehabilitation Association.
Survivors include her husband, Ross Hearn, two sons, Kent Hearn and Steve Hearn, and a daughter, Beth Lankford, all of Derby; four sisters, Jean Coon, Wellington, Suzy Hines and Janice Frazee, both of Derby, and Patty Wolff, Olathe; and seven grandchildren
