Kate velyn Weddle Smith, 92, of Floyd, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Brian Center Nursing Home in Fincastle. She was a lifelong member of Topeco Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Smith; and a brother, Freeman C. Weddle. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Wayne Underwood, Floyd, Bonnie and Bob Elliott, Fincastle; stepson and spouse, Charles and Sara Smith, Thomasville, N.C., stepdaughter and spouse, Lena and Dale Vest, Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Wilber and Glenna Weddle, Floyd.
