Note: the book mentioned above has her mother's last name as Robinson. I have seen it spelled Robeson on family trees posted various places on the internet. Thanks to Roger Robison for the following information sent to me in an email: Her mother was Amanda Blount Robison Fields,
daughter of Samuel Robison of Washington County, Ga, and his second
wife, whose name was Nancy, but her maiden name is unknown. When
Samuel died, Nancy married George Turner, and they are enumerated in
Barbour County, AL, on the 1850 Census
