They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. Moved to Iowa from Illinois in about 1882. He lived in Sloan, Woodbury County, Iowa, United States . He died on 24 April 1945, in Mondamin, Harrison, Iowa, United States, at the age of 89, and was buried in Sloan Cemetery, Sloan Township, Woodbury, Iowa, United States.
