Information sent from a descendant

William Clark served in Captain Lyons Company at Woodstock Connecticut from June 4, 1776 for 9 months and then served as a substitute for another soldier in 1777. In his declaration of service William mentions seeing General Washington on his way to the Battle of Long Island. Three of his brothers linked to this memorial also served during the war, John Clark, David Clark and Jacob Leonard.

I have copies of William, John, and David’s Revolutionary Pension files and each have letters of support from each other. (I also have a property record where William Clark and half brother Jacob Leonard sold their part of their inheritance to brother John. Regards, George Miller ( 5th great grandson of William).
