Grace Virginia Chandler Dickerson, 88, of 1221 Rosser Avenue, and formerly of 300 S. Wayne Ave., Waynesboro, passed away Wednesday morning (July 6, 2005) at Avante of Waynesboro.
She was born July 16, 1916, in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Walter Glen and Gladys East Chandler.
Mrs. Dickerson was retired from the General Electric Company.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Dickerson.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Dickerson and his wife, Connie, of Waynesboro; a daughter, Katherine Custer of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Robert "Buck" Custer Jr. and Arthur Custer; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander Michael Custer and Shianne Grace Custer.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday (July 9, 2005) at Riverview Cemetery with Chaplain Gary Major officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Friday at Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth W. Cale, Jessie Fitzgerald, Robert "Buck" Custer, Arthur Lewis Custer, Danny McCormick and Mike Fitzgerald.
