"Outback Jack"
Jack William Hendrickson, 73, of Midvale Utah, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on March 5, 2013.
Jack was born in Shelbyville, Indiana on October 5, 1939 to Kathryn and Garnet Hendrickson. He lived in Midvale, Utah for the majority of his life where he worked for over 40 years welding in his self started business, Eagle Machine. He loved to make people laugh and always had a joke or a story to tell. He enjoyed serving in his church callings and always placed the needs of others before his own. He served as Scoutmaster for many years and worked with the Special Needs mutual program. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to take his children and grandchildren along with him. He loved wrestling and coached little league for 25 years. He was a great dancer and everywhere he went the ladies were lined up in anticipation to take a whirl. Jack will fondly be remembered for his love of his family and always ensuring they all knew how wonderful each and every one of them made his life.
He is survived by his sister's Helen and Kathy (Doug), children, Susan (Roger), Janice (Marc), Karen (Jason), Lori Ann, Terry (Sarah), Rebekah (Liam), Laura, John (Natalie), 26 Grandchildren, and six Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim, sister Sandra, children Jack, Marsha and Christopher.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11 at the Midvale 4th Ward, 7825 South Olympus Drive. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the church as well as one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates.
