Daughter of Simon Peter and Margaret Ann 'Boone' Woods. She attended Rayville schools.
On December 18, 1908 she married James Allen McKown in Plattsburg. He died in 1938. Their children were: Jewell Elma, Verna Lenore, Pebble O., and Lorranine.
She resided in Cameron, MO prior to moving to the Chillicothe area where she made her home for 56 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
