Janette F. Corbin, 65, of 1210 Oneida Street, Huntingdon; died at 4 a.m., Friday, 20 Nov 1981, at her home. She had been in failing health since January. Born 14 Aug 1916, Huntingdon, she was the daughter of George K. & Flora (Stinson) Hood. She was united in marriage to Preston Jay Corbin on 5 Jul 1947 at Saint James Lutheran Church, Huntingdon, by the Rev. E. L. Manges, DD. Her husband survives. She is also survived by three sons; Steven J. Corbin and James E. Corbin, both at home and David A. Corbin of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Kathleen Hood, Huntingdon, and two granddaughters, Davelle and Andrea. A daughter preceded her in infancy. She was a lifelong member of Saint James Lutheran Church, Huntingdon. She began working for Swigart Associates in 1935 and was employed there for 15 years. In 1965, she began working in the Alfarata Elementary School cafeteria and retired on adisability from that position in Mar 1981. She was educated in Huntingdon public schools and was a 1934 graduate of Huntingdon High School. She was also a graduate of York Business College. She spent her entire life in the Huntingdon area. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 22 Nov 1981, at 2 p.m., at the John L. Brown Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Harry E. Smyers officiating. Interment will be made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon, R. R. 4.
