Bessie Carmon Wilkes, 91, of Scranton, SC passed away Friday, June 24, 2016. Mrs. Wilkes was born April 7, 1925 in Florence County, SC the daughter of the late Leroy and Ellen Lee Carmon. She was a member of Lee’s Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church. Bessie and her late husband, Preston Wilkes owned and operated Scranton Café for over 35 years before retiring.

Mrs. Wilkes is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Wilkes; three sisters; two brothers; and her parents, Leroy and Ellen Lee Carmon.
